Privacy Policy

Devotional Android apps published by Ini · Effective 24 August 2026

In short: Our apps do not ask you to create an account and do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location.

The apps show advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To do that, Google receives your device's advertising ID and technical information about your device. Where an app streams audio, our content host also sees the network request. Those are the only routine transfers of information out of the app.

Where the law requires it, we ask your permission before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that answer at any time from inside the app.

This policy applies to the app you are using and to every Android devotional application published by Ini ("we", "us"). Those apps share a single design — devotional audio and images, no account, no server of our own, and advertising supplied by Google AdMob — so one policy describes all of them accurately. Please read it before using the app.

Ini is the data controller for the limited processing described here. Contact details are in section 16.

Contents

1. Information we collect ourselves

None. The apps have no sign-in, no user profiles, and no server of our own. We do not operate a backend that stores information about you, we do not receive analytics, and we cannot identify you. Nothing you do inside an app is transmitted to us. We receive only aggregated, non-identifying advertising reports from Google — for example total impressions and earnings — from which no individual can be identified.

2. Information collected by Google AdMob

The apps display advertisements through Google AdMob, a service provided by Google. Depending on the app these appear as a banner within a screen, as an occasional full-screen advertisement at a natural break such as moving between screens, and in some apps as an advertisement shown while the app is opening. Google acts as an independent data controller for this activity and collects the following automatically when an ad is requested or shown:

This information is handled under Google's own privacy policy, which we do not control: policies.google.com/privacy. Details of how Google uses data from apps that use its services are published at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

3. Content delivery and streaming

Our apps differ in how they deliver their devotional content:

Where an app streams, your device connects directly to that hosting provider. As with any internet request, the provider may log ordinary technical details such as your IP address, the file requested, and the time of the request. We do not add any identifier of our own to these requests, we do not use cookies or tracking pixels in them, and we do not receive a per-user record of what you listened to. Connections use HTTPS.

4. Why we process information, and our legal bases

The limited processing described in this policy happens for these purposes:

PurposeLegal basis (UK/EU GDPR)
Showing personalised advertisements Your consent, collected through the form described in section 6. You may withdraw it at any time.
Showing non-personalised advertisements, and the limited data needed for frequency capping, reporting and fraud prevention Our legitimate interests in funding a free app and protecting it from fraudulent or invalid activity.
Delivering the content you asked for, where the app streams Performance of the service you requested by opening a track.
Keeping the app secure and functioning Our legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.

We do not carry out profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we make no automated decisions about you.

5. Your advertising choices

Resetting or deleting your advertising ID

You can reset your advertising ID at any time, or delete it entirely so that apps can no longer use it, from your device settings. On most Android devices this is under Settings → Privacy → Ads or Settings → Google → All services → Ads (the exact path varies by manufacturer). If you delete the ID, the app will still show advertisements, but they will not be personalised.

Turning off ad personalisation

The same device settings screen lets you switch off personalised advertising across your whole device, for every app, not just ours.

Changing your consent inside the app

Where a consent choice applies to your region, you can review or withdraw it at any time using the Privacy options control, available from the app's navigation menu and on its privacy policy screen. If you decline personalised advertising the app continues to work normally and shows non-personalised advertisements instead.

6. Consent (European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland)

If you are located in these regions, or in another region where consent is required, the app presents a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform before personalised advertising is enabled. Your choice is stored on your device and passed to Google.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it. Where we rely on legitimate interests rather than consent, you have the right to object — see section 11.

7. Permissions our apps request, and why

Our apps differ in what they offer, so not every app requests every permission listed here. Each app requests only what its own features need. The exact list for the app you installed is shown on its Google Play listing under "App permissions", and by your device under Settings → Apps.

PermissionWhy it is needed
Internet & network stateTo request advertisements, and — in apps that stream — to load the content list and the audio you play. In apps with bundled content, only advertising uses the network.
Advertising IDRequired by Android so that Google AdMob can serve and measure ads.
Foreground service & media playbackIn apps that play audio, so playback continues while the app is in the background or the screen is off.
NotificationsIn apps that play audio, to show the media notification with play, pause and seek controls. Playback works whether or not you allow it.
Set wallpaperOnly in apps with a wallpaper gallery, and only when you tap "Set as Wallpaper" and confirm. The image is applied locally; nothing is uploaded and your gallery is never read.
Modify system settingsOnly in apps that offer "Set as Ringtone", "Set as Alarm" or "Set as Notification", and only when you choose one. Used solely to register the app's audio as your chosen tone.
Storage (older Android versions only)On Android 9 and earlier, to write the audio file to your device so the system can use it as a tone. No other files are read or modified.
Audio settingsUsed by audio playback.

Our apps do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, SMS, call logs, photo library, or precise location.

8. Information stored on your device

The app stores your advertising consent choice and standard Android app preferences locally on your device. If the app offers a ringtone, alarm or notification-tone feature and you use it, a copy of the audio file is written to your device's media storage so the Android system can play it.

Uninstalling the app removes its locally stored data. A tone file you have saved may remain until you delete it. None of this local data is transmitted to us.

9. Children

These are general-audience devotional applications. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13, or under the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided information through one of our apps, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

10. Data retention and security

Because we do not collect or receive personal information, we hold nothing to retain or delete. Your consent choice and preferences live only on your device.

Information collected by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's own retention practices, described in its privacy policy. Logs held by our content hosting provider are retained under that provider's practices.

All network connections made by our apps use encrypted HTTPS. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we deliberately minimise the data our apps handle at all, which is the strongest protection we can offer.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Practical note: because we operate no accounts and hold no database that identifies you, we usually cannot locate information about a specific person, and asking us to delete "your data" would have nothing to act on. The effective routes are the device controls in section 5, and contacting Google directly about data Google holds. We will help wherever we can — please write to us using the details in section 16.

12. California and other US state privacy rights

We do not sell personal information for money. However, California law (the CCPA as amended by the CPRA) defines "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough that allowing an advertising identifier to be used for personalised, cross-context behavioural advertising can fall within those terms even when no money changes hands. We disclose this rather than rely on the narrower everyday meaning of "sell".

To opt out, use either control in section 5: turn off ad personalisation in your device settings, or delete your advertising ID. Either one stops the personalised advertising described above, and neither requires you to contact us or identify yourself.

California residents also have rights to know, delete, correct, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. Residents of states with comparable laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and Montana — have similar rights to access, delete and opt out of targeted advertising. The practical note in section 11 applies equally to these requests.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

13. India — Digital Personal Data Protection Act

We are based in India. Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies to you, the lawful basis for personalised advertising is your consent, obtained as described in section 6, and you may withdraw it at any time with the same ease. As set out in section 1, we act as a Data Fiduciary only for the minimal processing described here and hold no personal data about you ourselves. Grievances may be sent to the contact address in section 16 and will be acknowledged within the period required by law.

14. International data transfers

Our service providers, including Google, operate globally. Information collected through the app may therefore be processed on servers located outside your country, including in countries whose data protection laws differ from those where you live. Those providers use recognised safeguards for such transfers, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. We ourselves transfer nothing, because we receive nothing.

15. Third-party services and Google Play Data Safety

Our apps use one third-party service provider: Google AdMob, including Google's User Messaging Platform for consent. Apps that stream also connect to our content hosting provider for the audio itself. No analytics, tracking, social media, attribution or advertising SDKs of any other kind are integrated.

Advertisements may link to websites or apps operated by advertisers. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third-party service you visit.

Each app's Google Play listing carries a Data safety section describing what is collected and shared. That section and this policy are intended to say the same thing; the advertising ID and the approximate-location inference described in section 2 are declared there as collected and shared for advertising.

16. Changes, and how to contact us

We may update this policy when our apps change or when the law changes. The revised version will be published at this address and included in the next app update, and the effective date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use an app after an update means you accept the revised policy. Where the law requires it, significant changes will be brought to your attention inside the app.

Questions about this policy, requests concerning your rights, or privacy concerns about any of our apps can be sent to:

We aim to respond to privacy enquiries within 30 days.
